Chairperson: Işınsu KESTELLİ

Presently, Ms. Kestelli is involved in international vegetable oil trade. She has a founding partnership in the privately owned Agrilink Agricultural Products Ltd Co. where she continues her trading activities. In October 1992, she joined Izmir Commodity Exchange as a member of the Vegetable Oils Committe in 1995. Ms. Kestelli worked as Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors between 2003 - 2009. Upon her success in the elections in 2009, she has been selected as Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

Besides her duties in İzmir Commodity Exchange, Ms. Kestelli has been working as Chairperson of the Board of Directors in Turkish Derivatives Exchange since August 2007.

Born in 1962, Ms. Kestelli graduated Izmir American School  in 1981 and in 1985 received her BA degree from  9 Eylul University in Economics. She is married, has one son and fluent in English. 

Chief Executive Officer, Director: Çetin Ali DÖNMEZ

Mr. Çetin Ali Dönmez was born in Istanbul on 27 September 1967.

Upon completion of his B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 1989, Mr. Dönmez received his MSc. degree in Management from the Social Sciences Institute of the same university. In 2006, Mr. Dönmez acquired his PhD degree in Management at Boğaziçi University.

Mr. Dönmez has numerous articles published in Turkish and English. He is also the co-author of a published book on derivatives. He has been lecturing on finance for the personnel of various brokerage houses and banks as well as for specialists at the governmental regulatory organizations, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Capital Markets Board.

Mr. Çetin Ali Dönmez started his professional career in the Equity Market at Istanbul Stock Exchange as Assistant Expert in 1990. In 1993, Mr Dönmez acquired “Expert in ISE Equity Market” title after a comprehensive exam. He took a leading role in the re-organization of the equity market trading system and later in the various stages of transition to the electronic trading project. In 1995, Mr. Dönmez worked as Assistant Manager at Takasbank (the Clearing House) in the establishment of the margin trading and securities lending market.

Afterwards, Mr. Dönmez started working at the ISE Directorate of Futures Market, where he assumed team  leadership role in the electronic trading analysis, design and test stages of the futures market. He became the Director of the ISE Futures Market in 1997. With the establishment of the Risk Management Directorate at ISE in 2006,  Mr Dönmez was appointed as the Director.

Since April 2008, Mr Dönmez has been the CEO of Turkish Derivatives Exchange.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer: M. Yaman BAŞARAN

Mr. M. Yaman Başaran was born in Istanbul on 5 July 1967.

After having graduated from Galatasaray High School, Mr. Başaran completed his B.Sc. degree in Business Management at Boğaziçi University in 1991.

Mr. Başaran started his professional career at Pamukbank as FX Dealer-Analyst. In April 1992, Mr. Başaran started to work at Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) as Assistant Expert in the Equity Markets Department. In the period of 1994-1998, Mr. Başaran worked as Expert in the Derivatives Markets Department. In November 1998, Mr. Başaran was promoted as Deputy Director of Derivatives Markets. He managed the re-organization of the equity market trading system and later various stages of transition to the electronic trading project.

In 2006, Mr. Başaran continued to serve as Deputy Director at the Risk Management Department.

Mr. Başaran is fluent in English and in French. He has articles and books published on derivatives markets and products.

Since May 2008, Mr. Başaran has been the Deputy CEO of Turkish Derivatives Exchange.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer: Güzin SARIOĞLU

Ms Güzin Sarıoğlu was born in Izmir. After having graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School in Izmir, she completed her B.Sc. degree in Economics at Boğaziçi University in 1992.

Ms. Sarıoğlu started her professional career as Management Trainee in a bank. In 1994, she started to work at Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) as Assistant Auditor. She joined the Derivatives Department in Istanbul Stock Exchange in 1997. She participated in the development of the trading system, training of the members and preparing the legal infrastructure in the Derivatives Department.

In November 2003, Ms. Sarıoğlu joined TurkDEX as the Director of Market Operation, Clearing and Surveillance where she worked with the team to start the operations of TurkDEX. Until April 2009, she managed the business side of the electronic trading system and the business and legal infrastructure of market and clearing operations and surveillance.

Since April 2009, Ms. Sarıoğlu has been the Deputy CEO of Turkish Derivatives Exchange.
